We haven’t had much snow downstate near Detroit, so we decided to head up north to Empire, Michigan for a few days! We stayed at our friend's house they are building up there nestled right along M-22 and Lake Michigan that hopefully will be available to rent on Airbnb soon!
You could really see how hilly it is surrounding Empire and the Sleeping Bear Dunes area due to the snow. I was hoping for fresh snow on all the trees which we never got, but still was so cool to see a fresh perspective on one of my favorite areas in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula!
We even made our way over to Cadillac to visit our friends Roman and Colton who both live in the area. They both are super talented photographers so make sure you check them both out! Roman showed up on his snowmobile and showed us this really cool cabin right along a river that you can camp at! We didn’t camp this time, but definitely looking forward to coming back here!
